Setting up the car

So for my trip to New Mexico, I've set up my car with some devices:
  • I've mounted a Nexus 7 tablet in my car.
  • I've set up Bluetooth audio streaming for music.
  • I've setup a mobile hotspot on my phone so the tablet has internet access on the trip.
  • I bought an OBD2 Bluetooth device to use with the Android Torque app.
So this trip is going to be different than any I've done before. I can use my tablet not only as a media/music device that plays over car audio, but its also a trip logging and car information device. I should be connected to internet as long as AT&T has a signal. I've set up this blog to show my GPS location as I drive.

Here is my torque interface that grabs real-time data from my car's system.

This trip should be interestsing.
